How much is a membership?

You don’t have to be a member to play!

You can book a court, drop in to Open Play or sign up for a membership if you like.

We have options for all budgets, including an Ambassador Program for locals.

Membership is $50 per person, keeping it simple, streamlined and fair.

What do memberships include?

Memberships include:

  • Access to organized Open Social Play

  • Court time whenever courts are available. Bring guests and guests just pay the drop in fee.

  • The first month of membership you are welcome to use our paddles, but after that you will need your own.

  • Discounted rates on Round Robin tournaments, events or special clinics.

  • The great feeling of being part of the Pavones Pickleball community!!

What makes us different?

Many Pickleball facilities can feel overwhelming due to their size and competitive environment.

At Pavones Pickleball, we sure are competitive, but we encourage good sportsmanship, fair play, patience, tolerance and an underlying supportive environment for players to improve at their own pace.

While we love to have fun, we are a no-alcohol, no-drugs facility and ask that you do not come to play under the influence.

In tourist towns, it is often difficult to find a place to come together, that offers good, clean fun!

If you want to jump right in and sign up for a full paid membership, do that-for $50 for up to one month, you get access to the courts when they are available, Open Play, and discounted events/ clinics.

Each person must create their own account.

Step 1

Create your PKL World account and select Pavones Pickleball as your club.

Visitors can drop in to Open Play- join our local crew, play and meet new people!

Drop in play is 5mil colones per person, or you can rent a private court for 20mil colones and bring as many people as you choose. 

Step 2

Sign up for available Open Social Play or book a private court time from the scheduler in the app to get on the courts!

Note- We are a drug- and alcohol-free facility.

Kids birthday parties, events, team-building sessions and retreats are available. Email us! 

Step 3

Invite members to play a pop-up game, challenge each other using the ‘Play or Plan a session now’ button!

Our club is in a small, remote, country town most known for the surf! The mornings are often quiet on the courts, while members enjoy the ocean/ beach. Plan accordingly!

Don’t worry, you can pedir cacao and make it right!

Pavones Pickleball isn’t just a couple of Pickleball Courts- we offer a coffee and gift shop “Pa’ Pedir Cacao” too!

Pa’ Pedir Cacao is the place for coffee, healthy snacks, and community - located courtside at Pavones Pickleball.

It’s a place to go for a fresh start, to put things right and to grab a gift- perfect to ‘pedir cacao’.

In Costa Rica, ‘pedir cacao’ is a ‘dicho’ or saying which means to ask for a second chance, or to ask for forgiveness.

If you’ve messed up, made a mistake, or put your foot in it… it’s ‘Pa Pedir Cacao to make things right.
